AT-130 Intro to Watercolor
AT-130 Intro to Watercolor
The objective of this class is to foster a fun and supportive atmosphere that helps students express their creativity offering the opportunity to put their cares aside and relax. We want the students to have the chance to fall deeply in love with watercolor painting and use it as a jumping-off point to exploring other mediums or more advanced watercolor techniques. Using photographs of local forests and waterfront vistas, our focus will be on painting land and seascapes. In-class demonstrations, as well as student participation, take place during each meeting. Students are expected to continue to work on individual projects outside of class. The learning process will include in-class assignments and supportive, positive critiques. The instructor and students will provide encouraging feedback to help all understand how to improve their skill levels. This confidence-building experience is a rewarding part of artistic growth.
