from 150.00

Come and share in this excellent opportunity to make two beautiful baskets of your very own.  The first basket in this session is the Tote basket.  It  is approximately 10 x 6 x 10 inches high.  We will use a combination of various sized reeds as well as a Shaker tape handle straps to carry over your shoulder or a shorter version, if preferred.   We will add a co-ordinate color to match the strap color choice.   This basket is sturdy and has many uses. It will be dyed with a black walnut stain, safe for holding foods. The next basket will be a Melon style basket.  This is made up of 2 handles woven together with a "God's Eye" on each side.   This appearance gives it a distinct look.  Once the 'eyes' are complete, we will weave back and forth with spokes inserted into the 'eyes' thus securing both the ends and middle of the basket. The baskets will be dyed with a black walnut stain, safe for holding foods. Patty will take you through the process of weaving these elegant creations that you can keep or share.  Enjoy their beauty and functionality for years to come.
