Patty Batson is the owner of Baskets Made Simple.  She first learned to make baskets in 1984.  She has been designing and producing wonderful and stylish baskets for 35 years.  She is currently teaching basketmaking to the seniors in Carver and in Marion.  She was the official basket maker at Edaville Railroad from 1996-1997.   She also owned her own basket shop in South Carver for many years.  She has happily taught hundreds of women and children the art of weaving and has never had a disappointed customer!  This is an intriguing and useful art with endless possibilities. Her baskets are of heirloom quality and should last for centuries to come.  She uses superior quality reeds and occasionally affixes handles or straps depending on the basket style.
