This class is designed to instill a sense of peace, awareness, and focus.  Postures in this class are taught to focus on personal strength and alignment building upon foundational poses that are repeatable and suitable for all levels of practice.  Classes in this series will work upon gaining strength in standing and balancing poses, gaining flexibility through breathing practices and stretching.  This is an honest practice of yoga offered with genuine joy and with a balance of challenge and success for you to immerse yourself.  The work explored in this class will aim to transcend a sense of peace, awareness, and focus throughout your day.  Bring a yoga mat, a small towel and water.

Chloe Gilligan was born in Clarecastle, Ireland, but migrated with her family to the U.S. and was raised in Dartmouth. She has an education from UMass Amherst in political science and is certain that both an awareness of politics and self-reflection helps her maintain a balanced life. She enjoys the dynamics of working in vibrant, fast paced community environments.  She’s an old soul with a passion for the fine arts, music, and is unquestionably in love with New Orleans. Yoga is a tool for her to feel grounded and has been a healing process for her.  She is a young and enthusiastic yoga teacher who through her own love of learning and under Juliet Loranger’s tutelage has developed a desire to share a thoughtful yoga practice with others. Chloe teaches and practices Hatha Yoga which focuses on alignment through postures and works to cultivate stability, mobility and flexibility.
