MOSU153153 - Ukulele 101 Workshop

from 40.00

Have you been thinking about learning to play the ukulele? Nan Starr will be back to teach ukulele basics to novice uke players.  In this fun and relaxed workshop, you will learn how to hold, tune and strum your uke. You’ll learn to read a simple chord chart and how to master with some degree of confidence at least three chords.  Best of all, you will leave the workshop with the ability to serenade a willing friend or family member with a simple song or two!

Please bring a Ukulele to the first class, soprano, concert or tenor sized… no baritones, please, a ukulele tuner and if possible, a simple music stand. You can purchase a ukulele at the Symphony Shop in Dartmouth or online.  Unlike other instruments, you can get a great sound out of a $50.00 ukulele! If you aren’t ready to take the plunge and purchase, Nan may be able to loan one from her collection for the workshop.  Please feel free to contact Nan with any ukulele questions, she’s more than happy to help. 508-951-2645
