Sewing has been a treasured skill for centuries, and everyone knows the infinite possibilities that hand stitching and a sewing machine can bring.  So now it’s time to face that machine and let it work for you.  If you have ever wanted to learn the basic skills and beyond of hand sewing and using your sewing machine, Rhonda Dearing is here to show you. In this class, you will learn all basic skills from pattern working, fabric cutting and measuring, pinning, marking, sewing seams and trimming, hemming, binding and more.  You’ll make your very own Tote Bag step by step through careful, patient guidance.  You’ll also learn simple mending skills, to make button holes, put in zippers and bind a seam.  After you’ve finished the tote, if there’s time, you can begin a project of your choice.
