HW131 - Gentle Yoga Stretching & Relaxation Class
A weekly, evening class of forty-five minutes which is designed to relieve us of the pressures of the day; to promote flexibility and physical well-being; to enable us to sleep well. And to be our most mentally and spiritually aware selves, until the next class.
We begin with Pranayama (mindful breathing) to calm body and mind, a brief chant, and several minutes of gentle yogic stretches to prepare the body for Yoga Nidra (yogic “sleep”) through deep, guided relaxation, for several minutes. Finally, a block of awakening stretches will send us, refreshed and energized, out into the night.
Instructor Bio: For 25 years I have taught many forms of yoga throughout New York City and elsewhere, and since COVID, on Zoom as well. I am excited to bring my Gentle Yogic Stretch and Relaxation class to Dartmouth Cultural Center in Padanaram where I now live. Everyone is welcome!
