Art in Bloom
A special exhibition pairing original artwork with floral interpretations.
Art in Bloom celebrates the creative connection between visual art and floral design. This special exhibition will feature original artwork by Dartmouth Cultural Center member artists alongside floral interpretations inspired by selected works. Floral arrangements will be created by members of the Greater New Bedford Garden Club, along with other participating garden club members.
Artwork does not need to feature flowers or botanical subjects. Instead, your work should serve as inspiration for a floral interpretation.

Artwork Guidelines
All media are welcome, including two dimensional and three dimensional work.
Artwork should not depict flowers or botanical subjects. Instead, it should provide inspiration for a floral interpretation.
Two dimensional artwork must be framed or gallery wrapped and securely wired for hanging.
Artwork measuring approximately 30 inches or less on its longest side, including the frame, is recommended to best fit the gallery space. Larger works may be considered based on available space.
Wall-mounted sculpture should follow the same size recommendations as two dimensional artwork.
Floor-standing work should not exceed 24 inches × 24 inches at the base and 7 feet in height.
Artists exhibiting three dimensional work that requires a pedestal must provide their own pedestal.
About the Floral Interpretations
Selected artwork will inspire floral interpretations created by members of the Greater New Bedford Garden Club and other participating garden club members.
Because floral designers will select the artwork that inspires them, not every exhibited artwork will be accompanied by a floral arrangement. All accepted artwork, however, will be included in the exhibition.
