Found Wax

Susan Medyn & David Formanek

Working with living honeybee colonies, Susan Medyn creates sculptural frameworks transformed over time through the activity of the bees themselves. David Formanek's sculptural relief works explore wax, casting, texture, and transformation through richly layered surfaces. An intriguing exhibition exploring sculpture, ecology, process, and material transformation.

Eric Lintala & Bruce Bailey
June 5–27, 2026

Eric Lintala: "The sculptures I create have become a narrative involving the interaction of human, cultural and natural events from the past and present. The shapes and marks that I make, the symbols created are echoes from the prehistoric past; they tell of my observations, experiences and events that have affected me."

Bruce Bailey is a retired software engineer residing on New England's south coast who has returned to his original passions of painting, printmaking, and sculpture. He has worked in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, charcoal, and wood. In recent years he has reconnected with and extended work he had done in the 1960s and 70s, often employing digital tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, but preserving the original gestural elements of drawing. Inspirational sources of his work are ancient cultures, history, science, music, and literature, as well as the work of other artists. The thematic or narrative content of his work is usually not planned but emerges as the work develops.
