Drawing for Beginners with Jane Bregoli
Learn to slow down, look closely, and discover how much you can see when you begin to draw.
Over this five-week course, students will work from still life arrangements and natural objects while learning the fundamentals of observational drawing in a relaxed, supportive setting. Jane will introduce shading, line, texture, and positive and negative space, along with a variety of drawing methods and mark-making techniques.
No previous drawing experience is needed. Come ready to observe, experiment, and build confidence with a pencil in hand.

Instructor Bio
Jane Bregoli is a local treasure. She enfleshed a beloved local woman, Noelie Houle, “The Goat Lady,” in two children’s books as an author, illustrator and publisher. She earned her BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and while pursuing a Master’s degree at UMass Dartmouth was inspired to write and illustrate her beloved children’s book.
A retired, elementary school art teacher , she continues many creative pursuits, including printmaking, ceramics, oil and watercolor painting and teaching.
